1st week of school

well, this is somewhat of an imprompotu post...normally i write them at homz...but i am at the cyber and a lot has happened and i will probably forget details the more time passes.

monday was the official start of school. but of course no one taught. everyone only showed up to get their scehdules. and then yesterday kids showed up and lingered around, getting their schedules and began the process of cleaning. and a bunch of kids don't like to show up the first week or so because they don't like to do the clean up of the overgrown grass, sweeping and dusting of the classrooms, rearranging of the desks...etc, etc.

but i held all my classes. the first had about 11 student. the second had about 20, and my third had about25 to 30. i think that word has spread that my classes are meeting... i love my 6eme classses--like 7th grade. they are cute and somewhat well behaved...the 5eme kids--like 8th grade...not my fave. anyways, the classes didn't exactly go as i had planned, but whatever, it was my first day, there were't a lot of kids...

all in all i think yesterday was the biggest emotional roller coaster ride i have had. i may in fact have felt every single human emotion possible!

i was nervous about teaching; annoyed that we didn't start on time; flustered because my lessons didn't go how i wanted them too (too fast); very sad because the head of the english dept is transferring schools and he is one of the few decent men i can hold a conversation with--i cried on my walk back home. it was a good way of relieving all the stress and anxiety that i have been holding in; super happy that my crush called me; angry at my 5eme class cause they are little chatter bugs and mock my voice; annoyed with the kids who stare into my class; super happy with my 6eme kids cause they learned the lesson well; EXHAUSTED at the end of the day!
